KM Canada Terminals ULC has submitted an application under the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act for a renewal of their existing approval for the North Forty Tank Farm Project. The facility has the capacity to store 2.15 million barrels (bbl) (342,000 m3) and consists of eight aboveground crude oil tanks each with capacity of 43,590 m3 (250,000 bbl), and one above ground condensate storage tank with capacity of 25,940 m3 (150,000 bbl). All of the storage tanks have external floating roofs. In addition to the tanks, the facility includes a 953 m3 (6,000 bbl) relief tank, transfer pumps, metering manifolds, a generator building, a boiler building, three electrical service buildings (ESB), a fire water building, a foam building, and a North 40 Retention Pond.
